Piedmontese Beef (Fassone Piemontese)
Until now the famous meat of the Piedmontese Beef has not been allowed to reach HK tables. This was due to the lack of an agreement between the governments of Italy and HK. There have been sporadic cases of meat sold as Fassone. It was either of dubious origin or imported in small quantity and illegally.
Now thanks to the efforts of Abrate & Sons and its supplier, the Association of Piedmontese Beef breeders/farmers, an official request has been made to the Italian government in Rome.
The official paperwork has already reached the hands of the Hong Kong Government and should be dealt with in a short time.
We will keep you posted on further developments and we hope soon the famous "CARNE ALBESE" will be legally available in Hong Kong.
