to our home on the web.
The few of you that have visited us before will notice we have introduced
some changes. While the graphic looks pretty much the same, we have
improved on the content and tried to make it more user friendly.
This first page gives you a quick outlook on everything new we have
added to the site.
All the products we carry can be browsed on our catalogues available
for download as PDF files. You have the option to download the full
catalogues or only the section with the products you are interested
in.
New products
New wines from our winery
Two new wines from our own winery are now available in Hong Kong. Though both wines are made with 100% Nebbiolo grapes they couldn't be more different.
One is a dry sparkling Spumante while the other is a sweet dessert wine. To read more about them please see the PDF file

Soave di Suavia
After a long search we have finally found a Soave that we believe deserves your full attention. We have chosen two wines from this
family run winery both are Soave Classico and both use the traditional Garganega grape. To get more details please see the PDF file

We have an extensive list of old and difficult to find vintages from some of the best-known Bordelaise chateaux as well as

Here is our latest addition to the list of Italian wineries we represent in Hong Kong. It is a very well known winery from the heart
of Chianti Classico region that has been producing Chianti since the begging of the past century. We have chosen for you a Chianti

Agricola Valenza Monastero

News
Piedmontese Beef (Fassone Piemontese)
Until now the famous meat of the Piedmontese Beef has not been allowed to reach HK tables. This was due to the lack of an agreement between the governments of Italy and HK. There have been sporadic cases of meat sold as Fassone. It was either of dubious origin or imported in small quantity and illegally.
Now thanks to the efforts of Abrate & Sons and its supplier, the Association of Piedmontese Beef breeders/farmers, an official request has been made to the Italian government in Rome.
The official paperwork has already reached the hands of the Hong Kong Government and should be dealt with in a short time.
We will keep you posted on further developments and we hope soon the famous "CARNE ALBESE" will be legally available in Hong Kong.
Vertical Testing of Vigna Tabaria 1998 - 2008
On 22 June 2009 Luca Abrate has hosted, in Pollenzo Italy, a vertical tasting of 8 Roero Arneis Vigna Tabaria vintages.
The evening, organized for wine critics and trade professionals, was held in the Sala Rossa of the Hotel Albergo dell'Agenzia di Pollenzo (A Slow Food presidium and centre of the
University of Gastronomic Sciences). The tasting was guided by Gianni Fabrizio of the Gambero Rosso/Guida ai Vini d'Italia.
